I noticed in the mirror the other day that I still have a very faint bathing suit tan line from last summer. This is the first winter that I’m actually looking forward to warm weather not just because it feels nice and I like wearing less layers, but because I actually want to get back in the water. It’s taken me and my phobia(s) (of the deep end of the pool, of the ocean, of drowning, of dying in general) a long, long time to get here, but I’m pretty damn proud of my progress.
