That I Watched Over the Weekend

  • Tiny Furniture: I feel like this was overhyped. I wanted to love it, but I only liked it. However, I think Lena Dunham’s screenplay totally nailed the dialogue you often hear between 20-something post-grad pseudo-intellectuals in NYC (and probably in many other places too).
  • The Brothers Bloom: My second time seeing it, and I loved it even more. Those Johnsons are so damn talented. It’s a little unfair, don’t you think?

That I Fell Asleep During Over the Weekend

  • Moneyball: It had nothing to do with the movie; I was just really tired. I’ll try it again another time.

That I Stopped Watching Halfway Through Because I was Bored

  • The Go-Getter: Meh. That’s all I have to say about this movie, at least what I saw of it.

That are in my Netflix Queue and are Expiring from Watch Instantly on 1/1/12

  • Bonnie and Clyde
  • Dog Day Afternoon
  • Giant
  • Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (have seen in parts but never start to finish)
  • The Hudsucker Proxy (have seen half)
  • Muriel’s Wedding
  • Zelig
  • Amadeus
  • Interiors
  • Letters from Iwo Jima
  • A Very Long Engagement
  • Network

Obviously I can still get the DVDs after the 1st, but I figured I’d try to see as many as I can before then. Anyone want to help me out and suggest which ones should go to the top of the watch list and which to the bottom?

    1. murmurandshout answered: Top: Network, Dog Day Afternoon, and Zelig. Amadeus is pretty good, Hudsucker and F&LinLV are middling. Haven’t seen the others. Have fun!
